    Authen­tisch zu sein bedeu­tet, sich ent­spre­chend sei­ner Gedan­ken, Emo­tio­nen, Bedürf­nis­se, Wer­te, Vor­lie­ben und Über­zeu­gun­gen zu ver­hal­ten. D.h. sich nicht zu ver­stel­len, so zu sein, wie man ist und zum Vor­ge­nann­ten zu ste­hen. Das setzt aller­dings eine ehr­li­che Selbst­er­kennt­nis vor­aus. Authen­ti­zi­tät ist der Gegen­pol von der Schein­hei­lig­keit und der Heu­che­lei. Jedoch auch der Selbst­be­herr­schung und Rück­sicht­nah­me. Somit ist es nicht in allen Lebens­la­gen rat­sam, authen­tisch zu sein, son­dern manch­mal Empa­thie und Diplo­ma­tie den Vor­rang zu geben. Die Authen­ti­zi­tät hat ihre Gren­zen, wenn sie über das Wohl der Ande­ren hin­aus­geht. [1]

    Die Lust­be­frie­di­gung gehört  zu den vier Grund­be­dürf­nis­sen, wobei Lust und Unlust im engen Zusam­men­hang ste­hen und wesent­li­cher Bestand­teil des Moti­va­ti­ons­sy­stems sind. Es ist über­le­bens­wich­tig, dass wir mit Lust und Unlust in ange­mes­se­ner Wei­se umzu­ge­hen wis­sen und ler­nen. Die Erzie­hung besteht im Wesent­li­chen dar­aus, einen gesun­den Umgang zu ver­mit­teln, wel­cher die Fähig­kei­ten zur Fru­sta­ti­ons­to­le­ranz, zum Beloh­nungs­auf­schub und zum Trieb­ver­zicht beinhal­tet.     Kontrolle / Selbstbestimmung

    Auto­no­mie bedeu­tet Kon­trol­le und Kon­trol­le bedeu­tet wie­der­um Sicher­heit. Zu unse­rem Auto­no­mie­be­dürf­nis zählt neben dem Wunsch nach Sicher­heit auch der Wunsch nach Macht. Von Geburt an sind wir bestrebt, auf unse­re Umge­bung einen gewis­sen Ein­fluss zu neh­men und im Gegen­zug ver­mei­den wir die Hilf­lo­sig­keit und Ohn­macht. Mit der Zeit ver­än­dern sich jedoch die Mit­tel, mit denen wir Ein­fluss aus­üben und unse­re Macht­spiel­chen sind nicht mehr so leicht zu durch­schau­en. Ich bin froh, dass im Rah­men von Emo­tio­na­ler Kom­pe­tenz nach Clau­de Stei­ner der­ar­ti­ge Macht­spiel­chen kei­nen Raum haben. [1]

    Das Bedürf­nis nach Bin­dung spielt gera­de in den ersten Lebens­jah­ren, in denen wir auf Hil­fe ange­wie­sen sind, eine ent­schei­den­de Rol­le. Bestand ein intak­tes Eltern­haus, in dem uns Mut­ter und Vater ver­läss­li­che Bezugs­per­so­nen waren, so fällt es uns leich­ter, ein Grund­ver­trau­en in ande­re Men­schen und Bezie­hun­gen zu ent­wickeln. Fehlt die­ses, so steigt die Wahr­schein­lich­keit, spä­ter Bin­dungs­stö­run­gen und psy­chi­sche Pro­ble­me im All­ge­mei­nen zu ent­wickeln. Unse­re Bezie­hungs­er­fah­run­gen prä­gen uns für das gan­ze Leben. Da der Mensch ein sozia­les Wesen ist, bleibt uns das Bedürf­nis nach Bin­dung bis zum Lebens­en­de  erhal­ten. Es hat einen wesent­li­chen Ein­fluss auf unse­re Lebens­zu­frie­den­heit. Fehlt uns im Leben eine ver­läss­li­che Bin­dung, so wer­den wir nie zufrie­den. [1]

    Die Dis­zi­plin führt mich ein in mein Leben. Sie lehrt mich, die Rea­li­tät anzu­neh­men, mein Leben selbst in die Hand zu neh­men und schafft eine kla­re Ord­nung. Dis­zi­plin meint im Latei­ni­schen die Leh­re, die Ord­nung und die Metho­de. Ich brau­che eine Metho­de, um zu erfas­sen, auf­zu­tei­len und zu zer­glie­dern. Dis­zi­plin ist nichts Pas­si­ves und setzt vor­aus etwas in die Hand zu neh­men, zu dre­hen und zu wen­den. Ich neh­me mei­ne Leben in die Hand, schaue es mir an und über­le­ge, wie ich es so glie­dern kann, dass ich wirk­lich lebe, dass ich selbst lebe, anstatt gelebt zu wer­den. Weil Dis­zi­plin und Ord­nung frü­her über­trie­ben wur­de, haben wir jahr-zehn­te­lang die Dis­zi­plin eher ver­nach­läs­sigt und dach­ten ohne sie aus­zu­kom­men. Doch damit gaben wir ein Werk­zeug aus der Hand, unser Leben selbst zu for­men und zu gestal­ten. [1]

    Selbst­dis­zi­plin bedeu­tet, bewusst zu tun, was wir wirk­lich tun wol­len, anstatt uns unse­ren Nei­gun­gen lei­ten zu las­sen. Weit­blick hilft uns, Selbst­dis­zi­plin zu ent­wickeln. Sie stärkt unse­ren Wil­len durch­zu­hal­ten und hilft uns, kurz­fri­stig Befind­lich­kei­ten zugun­sten lang­fri­sti­ger Zie­le zu über­win­den. Die Selbst­dis­zi­plin schützt uns davor, Din­ge zu sagen oder zu tun, die wir spä­ter bereu­en. Dafür sind wir uns selbst gegen­über wach­sam und ehr­lich. Selbst­dis­zi­plin gibt uns die Frei­heit, nach unse­ren Wert­vor­stel­lun­gen zu leben. Wir sind fähig, schlech­te Gewohn­hei­ten zu ver­än­dern und gute zu pfle­gen.     Mit ande­ren Men­schen mit­füh­len macht die Wür­de des Men­schen aus. Mit­ge­fühl ist ein Weg zur ech­ten Mensch­lich­keit. Der bud­dhi­sti­sche Leh­rer Thich Nhat Hanh sagt: „Mit­ge­fühl ist die ein­zi­ge Ener­gie, die uns hel­fen kann, mit ande­ren Men­schen wirk­lich in Ver­bin­dung zu tre­ten. Ein Mensch, der kein Mit­ge­fühl in sich trägt, kann nie­mals wirk­lich glück­lich sein!“ Mit­ge­fühl hebt die Iso­lie­rung der Men­schen auf, schafft wirk­li­che Bezie­hung und adelt den, der es übt. Es ist die Bedin­gung, wirk­lich glück­lich zu sein. Das klingt para­dox: Denn wer mit dem ande­ren mit­fühlt, der fühlt den Schmerz; der ver­lässt sei­ne inne­re Ruhe, um beim ande­ren zu sein, um mit ihm zu füh­len. Das tut oft weh und wühlt einen tief auf. Den­noch ist Mit­ge­fühl die Vor­aus­set­zung des Glücks. [1]

    Gewiss lässt sich das Kom­pli­ment nicht direkt als eine Tugend betrach­ten. Doch ein Kom­pli­ment ist Aus­druck von Lob, Aner­ken­nung und Respekt und somit kom­men wir mit dem zwei­ten Blick auch zu den Tugen­den. Ande­ren ein Kom­pli­ment zu geben, hilft sogleich des­sen Herz zu öff­nen. Es tut gut, ande­ren sei­ne Aner­ken­nung zu zei­gen und sei­ne Wert­schät­zung aus­zu­drücken.
