Die Hal­tung der Auf­rich­tig­keit gehört zum guten Leben. Der auf­rich­ti­ge Mensch hat ein Gespür für sei­ne eige­ne Wür­de und für die Wür­de der ande­ren. Man kann sich auf ihn ver­las­sen. Er ist gerad­li­nig und er ver­biegt sich nicht.

Was Ibn Ata Allah mit sei­nem Gleich­nis wei­ter sagen will: Das Wort des Auf­rich­ti­gen ist wie ein schlich­tes Gewand. Ein sol­ches Gewand klei­det auch den, der es hört. Es passt jedem. Es ist rein, unauf­fäl­lig, zeit­los, stim­mig. Das Wort des Auf­rich­ti­gen rich­tet den Men­schen auf.

Die Spra­che ver­rät uns. Die Wor­te, die aus unse­rem Her­zen strö­men, ver­ra­ten, wie es drin­nen aus­sieht. Wer an der Hal­tung der Auf­rich­tig­keit arbei­tet, des­sen Wor­te wer­den immer stim­mi­ger und kla­rer. Sie rich­ten­den ande­ren auf und machen ihm Mut, rich­tig zu leben: so zu den­ken und zu han­deln, wie es recht ist und für ihn stimmt. [1]
