    Gehor­sam bedeu­tet das Befol­gen von Befeh­len und Gebo­ten. In der Regel erhal­ten wir sie von Vor­ge­setz­ten, denen wir unter­ge­ord­net oder qua Gesetz, dem wir unter­stellt sind. Doch Gehor­sam soll­te immer ergänzt wer­den mit dem Ver­stand und der Ver­nunft. Denn Gehor­sam ist auch die Aus­füh­rung des­sen, was ver­nünf­tig, erfor­der­lich oder vor­ge­schrie­ben ist. Die Tugend des Gehor­sams wird mit kei­nem ande­ren Tier mehr in Ver­bin­dung gebracht, als dem Hund, denn in ihm steckt bekannt­lich eine treue See­le und er gehorcht auf’s Wort. Beim Gehor­sam darf also die Treue nicht feh­len. Gewiss ist es völ­lig aus der Mode gekom­men, sich treu in einen Dienst zu stel­len, doch dies aus Über­zeu­gung getan, birgt frucht­ba­re Erfah­run­gen. [1]
